Toxic Holocaust + Skeletonwitch Australian Tour Postponed

The upcoming tour, which was to start on April 16, featuring Toxic Holocaust and Skeletonwitch has been postponed with TH to tour later this year in November and SW to tour when it is possible. An official statement from Heathen Skulls Touring can be found below:

“Due to a serious medical condition affecting Joel Grind‘s hearing Toxic Holocaust, Skeletonwitch and Heathen Skulls have decided that the upcoming Australian tour scheduled for April 2014 will unfortunately need to be postponed.
Joel has been suffering with severe ear infections, as the condition has shown no improvement the medical specialists have advised Joel against travelling as he will likely need to undergo surgery to avoid any permanent damage to his hearing.
We are all saddened by the news but Joel‘s well-being must be given priority.
We are currently working together to arrange new tour dates, at this stage the rescheduled Australian tour will be planned for Nov/Dec 2014. Full dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

The cancellation of the Australian and New Zealand tour ultimately effects Skeletonwitch‘s South East Asian tour, which was due to commence this week. That leg of the tour is being presented by another promoter, so we have no news as to weather that tour will be re-scheduled or not.

Joel is extremely disappointed that he must pull out of the scheduled tour, but hopes fans will understand that by treating this condition now it will ensure he can continue performing for years to come.

Heathen Skulls completely supports the band’s decision to postpone and is looking forward to bringing out Toxic Holocaust later in the year.

More announcements coming shortly for those wishing to retain tickets for the rescheduled Australian tour dates, refunds will available from all ticketing outlets as of Wednesday 9th April.”

A statement from both bands can be seen below:

“Unfortunately, due to a serious and prolonged ear infection suffered by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust, the Toxic Holocaust/Skeletonwitch Australian & New Zealand tour will not be happening in April 2014. Joel is unwell and recommended by his Doctor not to fly till his condition is taken care of. We are truly sorry, but this is something that’s out of hands.

Toxic Holocaust will be rescheduling their tour for November with another US band, whilst Skeletonwitch will now be doing their own headline tour sometime later when time permits in their busy schedule.

Details about ticket refunds and rescheduled tour dates coming soon, stay tuned.”
