Korn Bassist Helps Chi Cheng

Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu recently compiled a list of musicians to collaborate on a benefit track for Deftones bassist Chi Cheng who is still in a coma following a car accident last November. Check out a website with a link to download the track, video documentaries and a link to make a donation. Guest artists who play on the song are as follows:

Bring Me The Horizon Remix

Bring Me The Horizon will be releasing a remixed version of Suicide Season. Oli Sykes, the vocalist for Bring Me The Horizon revealed some details to Rock Sound Magazine:

“It all started because I had a friend who is into making electro stuff and I asked him if he wanted to remix one of our songs,” vocalist Oli Sykes told Rock Sound. “We were stoked on the end result and I thought it would be awesome if we could get every song remixed! We told our label and managers about the idea and they thought it was a good one. From there, we came up with a list of people we would love to remix our songs and started mailing people.”

The bands who are remixing the tracks include ek-One, Robot Sonic, Ben Weinman from The Dillinger Escape Plan, Outcry Collective, L’Amour La Morgue (Ian Watkins from Lostprophets), Utah Saints and Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan from Slipknot.

Suicide Season: Cut Up will be released on the 2nd November 2009. Check out the artwork below:

36 Crazyfists DVD

36 Crazyfists will release their upcoming DVD “Under A Northern Sky” on October 27, the band released some details on their MySpace:

“Anchorage, Alaska has a small music scene,” explains vocalist Brock Lindow. “Pretty much everyone knows each other. Growing up in here, shaped us to be aware of the beauty of isolation and creating your own self. We had MTV just like everyone else, but as people, we adapted to dark winters and summers where the sun never went down. That in itself created so many amazing rituals and memories of the season.”

The DVD will include footage of the very first 36 Crazyfists show as well as countless other rare scenes of globetrotting by a band from Alaska who has defied the odds of coming from a place of obscurity to touring and playing major festivals around the world. Along with the live show, ridiculous backstage antics and band member interviews, all the bands videos are also present on the DVD.

“There are interviews from band members sharing their thoughts on our career and all the wonderful things we have been able to experience because of this band,” continues Lindow. “Our fans have been waiting for something like this to surface for some time and for that I’m very grateful to Todd Bell, AKSOUL and Ferret for giving us the opportunity to finally put out our very first DVD. This is for the ears and eyes of the interested, for the fans who have been there through thick and thin!”
