Donations for Deftones Bassist

The website www.oneloveforchi.com has been setup to help raise funds for the medical costs associated with Deftones bassist Chi Cheng’s ongoing recovery from a car accident last November. At present Chi Cheng still remains in a coma as a result of the accident.

New Dredg Track

A new Dredg track by the name of “Saviour” has surfaced online in mp3 format. Check it out here.

The song comes from the groups new album “The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion”, which is scheduled to arrive in stores in June through the bands own Ohlone Recordings label.

“We were contacted by a fan on MySpace saying we should use his family owned butcher shop,” vocalist Travis Ryan told HeadbangersBlog.com. “Knowing perfectly well that we could easily make a butcher shop or a slaughterhouse look like a human slaughterhouse, we had to jump at the chance. We shot all day in there and at first it smelled like pepper. By the end of the shoot it smelled like death. The end result is pretty disturbing which is of course, exactly what we intended.”

Rock Out Festival Postponed

Rock Out Festival has been postponed until later this year. The statement from the official website:

MTD4 and Blade Promotions after consultation with the venues and major stakeholders including the International Artists, have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned to postpone the event to Sept/Oct this year.

The new dates will be advised as soon as possible.

We anticipate announcing additional headline bands to join those previously listed as the postponement allows us to restore the event to our original concept including multiple stages, all ages ticketing and camping at all sites.

We apologise if this postponement causes any inconvenience to those that have already purchased tickets to our event and encourage them to contact us directly – contact@rockoutfestivals.com.au
