Dragonforce Pull Out Of Soundwave 2012
January 16th, 2012Dragonforce will no longer be touring Australia as part of the Soundwave 2012 Festival. The band will be replaced by Switchfoot, and Paradise Lost. Dragonforce guitarist Sam Totman released the following statement:
“It’s bitterly disappointing for us not to be able to play our debut Soundwave in 2012 because we were so looking forward to it and were going to kick off the World Tour there. The problem is we’ve only just finished the actual recording of the new album and now have the mastering, videos and a ton of worldwide promo to do.
The album recording was already running late when Marc (Hudson, new singer) contracted laryngitis a couple of months back which meant he couldn’t finish his vocals in the studio on time and pushed the album release date back even further. Australia has always been great to us and we can 100% assure our Aussie fans that we will be touring there at some point in 2012, we just have to move our touring plans around a little to accommodate the delay.
The good news is the album is sounding awesome and we are all eager for our fans to hear it and we hope everyone has a great Soundwave!”

“Epitaph Records is proud to announce the signing of Los Angeles based heavy melodic hardcore band The Ghost Inside. Formed in 2007, the band has built a following with two previous records, Fury And The Fallen Ones and Returners, as well as their riveting live performances touring with bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Parkway Drive and The Devil Wears Prada.
The Ghost Inside’s powerful and affecting sound merges insightful and introspective lyrics with charging drums, lightning fast riffs and devastating breakdowns. The group is currently working on their yet untitled Epitaph debut with Jeremy Mckinnon (of A Day To Remember) producing.
“Signing to Epitaph is a dream come true for me,” singer Jonathan Vigil says. “The label is home to some of my all time favorite bands.
